Why I made this film: In August of 2020 my anxiety about climate change reached a fever pitch. Fires raged all over California and smoky skies kept me and my family indoors for over a month. I felt hopeless, despairing and alone in my grief. I googled "Climate change support group" and the first thing that came up was the Good Grief Network and read about their 10-step program to help "metabolize climate grief and build resiliency." After my first Zoom meeting where we shared our grief and love of this planet, an internal pressure was released and I could breathe again. Just knowing I wasn't alone gave me a glimmer of hope that I had not felt in a very long time. The women who created this program have a compelling story and have created a program that can truly change the way we step into our uncertain future.
